I missed the training ride this past Saturday. This was my families last chance to get away before school started. We had a great time visiting our very good friends in Colorado. We were able to float down a river, go to WaterWorld eat and drink lots of mojitos. I will be paying for my indulgences this Saturday. When we got back home the guilt started creeping up about the training I was not doing, so I did the stair machine for 30 minutes and rode the spin bile for 30 minutes. I will be doing it again tonight.

- The Purple Dragonfly
- In May 2008, my sister Heather invited me to join her in a "bike ride" to raise money for cancer. Fighting cancer is a passion of mine so I said yes. Little did I know she was asking me to sign up to raise $2900 and ride 109 miles. Thus began my bike riding journey. I completed El Tour de Tucson and raised more than $7000. I continue to ride... I am hooked to the road and hooked on helping people beat this awful disease. I have lost several members of my family to cancer including my mom when she was only 38 (I was 20). It has been 22 years since I said goodbye to her. My childen never met her. I live wondering what life would have been like if she were still alive. While I can not change the past, I can help to change the future. My goal is that my beautiful girls will never know what it is like to lose someone you love at such a young age. And, they will never have to experience it themselves. Find a passion in life and live it. My passion? My family and helping beat the big "C". What's yours?
